In the quest for outright performance, Porsche made the move to an auto-only set up for the current generation 911 GT3, pairing it exclusively with a quick shifting seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission.

While hard-core racers, looking to shorten lap times whenever possible, stand by the move, Porsche purists have been less receptive, craving the involvement of a manual shifter.
