A pair of BMW’s performance coupes have been brought together for a drag race on home soil in Germany; Auto Bild captured the event on film.

Obviously we’re not talking about the 218d verses the 218i here, but rather the evergreen BMW M4 (complete with a ‘new name’, post M3 Coupe days) going mano e mano with the company's astonishing i8 hybrid.
