A small carmaker out of California, called Lucra, has released teaser images of what will become its second model.
Now Lucra has revealed it is working on another sports car, codenamed 2.2, although no technical details have been released as yet.
The teaser images reveal that the new model will be front-engined with an open roof, but not in the same guise as the LC470.
In fact, the images suggest the 2.2 may even have a removable roof, rather than a mechanically operated hard or soft top.
For now, Lucra’s one and only detail on the new model is that it will be lightweight, although it is believed to be slightly larger than the LC470.
The carmaker currently offers customers a choice of several V8 powerplants in the LC470, including GM's familiar LS range, along with Mercedes-Benz AMG engines.
Transmission choices for the LC470 currently include a five-speed H-pattern mated to the Chevrolet engines and a seven-speed paddle-shift for the AMG. Both engine and transmission choices are expected to also be available in the 2.2.
TMR will be watching with interest as the Lucra 2.2 comes to life. Stay tuned for more.
