Lotus Building Hype For 2013 Rebirth In New Video

After countless special edition releases of the Exige, British sports carmaker Lotus is set for a massive model makeover in the coming years. 

Headlining the range will be the much-hyped Esprit, packing a supercharged version of the Lexus IS F's 5.0 litre V8 engine, developing around 462kW. 

Perhaps most surprising is the news that Lotus will add a small runabout city-car to its line-up, with a launch recently confirmed for 2013.

To build anticipation for its future models, Lotus has releases a handful of new images, offering a glimpse of the coming Esprit, Elite and Elan models in the wild.

It is still to reveal full details for its new models, but has confirmed that it expects to price the new Esprit at around AU$170,000 when it launches in Europe in 2013.
