Lexus Teases Gran Turismo 6 Vision Concept

Another carmaker has joined the fray in Sony's new Gran Turismo Vision project, with Lexus hinting at a new digital concept this week. 

The past month has seen unveilings and teasers from Mercedes-Benz AMG, Subaru and Lexus parent Toyota - the latter possibly hinting at a new Supra design.

This single teaser image from Lexus reveals little, although it is clear the concept will showcase a (relatively) production friendly look.

A coupe profile can be seen, with wide haunches and a large rear wing. A single chrome garnish stretches along the roof, and a vented bonnet dominates the front end. 

Could this concept preview a new dedicated 911-rivalling model from Lexus, separate to the new IS-based RC and RC F coupes? 

The carmaker has hinted at plans to offer a new sports hero inspired by the popular LF-LC coupe, although it has yet to reveal its hand. This new digital concept could be our first look at that car. 

For now, you can look forward to acquiring the car as part of the special Downloadable Content pack that will be released early in 2014 for Gran Turismo 6.
