Lexus has confirmed that its flagship performer, the new RC F Coupe, will launch in Australia from February with a $133,500 starting price.
That will make the big new Lexus a tempting $33,400 more affordable than BMW’s hero M4 Coupe, leaving buyers with change enough to add a high-spec Toyota Corolla to the driveway.
(Of course, for the price of one RC F, you could quite literally buy two RC 350 Coupes, but why would you do that...)
This latest piece of news rounds out the RC F reveal, with Lexus already confirming in September that its champion’s 5.0 litre V8 will churn out a fat 351kW of power and 530Nm of torque.
Lexus will also offer its special Carbon package in Australia from $147,500, adding a lightweight carbon-fibre boot spoiler, bonnet, roof panel and interior highlights, along with Alcantara seat trim.
"Everything about the RC F symbolises the passion Lexus designers and engineers have for their vehicles and puts the cherry on top of the RC Line following the launch of RC 350 in November," Lexus Australia boss Sean Hanley said.
"RC F matches a great sounding, high output 5.0-litre V8 with a fantastic chassis that rewards the performance-minded buyer with an incredible driving experience.”
"It also provides drivers and their passengers with high levels of safety on top of aggressive styling that is ideally suited to the vehicle's high performance intentions."
