As expected, the new two-door is revealed as a topless version of the brand-new Lexus RC Coupe, suggesting that an RC Convertible will not be far away.
As a concept, the LF-C2 brings its own flair to the party, including an even more accentuated hook to the bold LED daytime lights.
There’s also a narrower and deeper new look to the front bumper’s outboard intakes, both also trimmed with a slender LED light treatment.
The rear-end gets a similar concept makeover, again with deep and tall vents and a new connected look to the quad exhaust tips.
The RC’s tail-lights have also been re-styled for the LF-C2 concept, with three LED hooks extending into the fat-lipped boot lid.
The theme continues in the cabin, where the RC Coupe’s two-tier dash is upgraded to include slender new vents with a bold metallic garnish, while the steering wheel and centre console have also been given a dramatic update.
The LF-C2’s look is rounded out by a large fan-like 20-inch alloys finished in a gunmetal grey look with gold centre caps.
Lexus describes the LF-C2 as a roadster concept, which means there’s no folding roof hidden beneath the rear canopy: it simply goes without.
Expect that to be among the key changes we’ll see when (if…) the LF-C2 transitions to production as the RC Convertible.
Watch for more details on this concept's move to production over the coming months.
