Lexus has confirmed it will unveil "an all-new concept" at next month's Frankfurt Motor Show, stirring further speculation on a new coupe model.
This first teaser image, released today, reveals that the coming concept will wear a face similar to the new IS, showcasing the familiar spindle grille design and glowing 'L' hook below slender LED headlights.
This latest news follows a flood of spy photos published in the past month, leaving little doubt that Lexus will soon unveil a new hero model.
What can we expect under the hood of the new model?
If it's the anticipated RC coupe, and if recent reports are to be believed, we can look forward to the proven 233kW 3.5 litre petrol V6 near the top end, and a turbocharged 2.0 litre four at the entry level.
Ruling the roost will undoubtedly be a new RC F model, and while reports have pointed to a new turbo engine, it is believed the hero will get a heavily upgraded 340kW version of the current IS F sedan's 5.0 litre V8.
At this stage, the production RC models are expected to appear over the coming months. With this latest news of a Frankfurt concept, we could yet see the final RC and RC F models in Tokyo, LA or Detroit.
