The first official images of Lexus’s little LF-SA have surfaced online ahead of its big Geneva Motor Show unveiling next week.

Published by enthusiast site Autowp.ru, these images offer an early look at the carmaker’s hotly anticipated city car.

Full details on the new concept are still to come, although Lexus has previously described the concept as one that “explores unexpected territories for the brand”.

Reports have suggested Lexus is planning to introduce a new Audi A1-rivalling light car, although the relatively tall ride height of this concept could also hint at more of a compact SUV focus.

Or, like the larger Infiniti Q30, the LF-SA could preview a new model that squeezes into the space between the light car and compact suv segments.

On the styling front, Lexus says its new show-car builds on the brand’s “passion for new design trends”, and it is clear the carmaker is moving to evolve the already out-there styling of the new NX SUV even further.

Whether the LF-SA will make its way to production in the near future is unclear, although we can likely expect Lexus to tone down its heavily stylised looks.

Watch for more details to come with the LF-SA’s official unveiling next week.
