Lexus and Honda have unveiled their entrants in next year's Super GT Championship, the premier racing category in the homeland of both brands.
Honda's new NSX-GT racer is based on the upcoming super coupe, but its debut today also marks an evolution of the HSV-10 GT race car that was once expected to preview an earlier take on the next-gen NSX.
Honda has recently kicked its NSX teaser campaign into high gear, releasing short video clips of a camouflaged prototype tearing around the track.
The new NSX is expected to make its production debut in the coming year, but it remains to be seen if a local launch is on the cards.
In racing form, both cars will compete in Japan's GT 500 formula.
