With a brand-new Lexus GS range on the way and wearing the company's next-generation styling, the current IS mid-sizer is quickly coming to the end of the road.
The top-shelf V8-powered IS F has some life in it yet however, and to prove it, Lexus and TRD have announced the release of the Circuit Club Sports Package (CCS) for overseas markets.
Based on the Circuit Club Sports Concept that appeared at last year's Tokyo Auto Salon enthusiast show, the CCS package includes a vented carbon-fibre bonnet, along with carbon fibre aero elements in the front and rear bumpers.
There's also a carbon-fibre rear wing mounted high on the rear deck, and the ultra light-weight material has also made its way into the cabin for a few aesthetic tweaks.
A set of TRD-developed suspension stablisers and upgraded shocks is also featured, along with high-performance brakes and a choice of two different wheels - one set in forged magnesium and one in aluminium.
