Land Rover Planning Special Operations Send-Off For Defender: Report

Land Rover is reportedly planning to give its Defender off-roader a 'proper' send-off, with a limited edition model in the pipeline.

The UK's Autocar reports that the Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations team will be tasked with creating the farewell model, which could include powered-up diesel engines.

Special Operations and former Land Rover boss John Edwards reportedly said that Defender fans will not be forgotten, when the model - as we know it - slips into retirement.

Mr Edwards said Special Operations could continue to play a part in future Defender projects for existing owners, through an ongoing program in its heritage division.
