Land Rover has recalled its Discovery 4 off-roader built in 2012 and 2013, fitted with panoramic glass roof panels.

Vehicles built within a specific Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) range may have had glass panels installed using a bonding agent that was not to Land Rover’s specification.

A potential weakness with the bonding agent may see a glass panel detach from the vehicle while driving.

The panel may strike another road user or vehicle, or cause others to take evasive action which increases the chances of a collision.

Fiat has recalled its Ducato load-hauler due to a potential problem with the ignition switch.

The switch may shift itself out of the ‘run’ position while driving. This can result in a stalled engine, which in turn could reduce braking and steering performance while disabling safety features such as airbags.

Fiat says if this was to occur, the driver may lose control of the vehicle which could pose a hazard to the occupants and other road users.
