Called 'Black Pack' and 'Silver Pack', you won’t be surprised to learn that each Defender features Santorini Black or Indus Silver paint highlights respectively.
The Black Pack gets the special paint treatment to the roof, grille, headlamp surrounds and wheel arches, along with the ‘Defender’ bonnet script and interior facia.
Two wheel options are available to Black Pack customers; a gloss black ‘Sawtooth’ alloy or a new gloss black heavy-duty steel wheel.
The Silver Pack gets splashes of silver paint similar to the Black Pack, while adding Dual Finish alloy wheels and a ‘bright light’ pack for the tail and indicator lamps.
Inside, the Black Pack adds premium seats with Windsor leather inserts, an ebony headliner (similar to the Range Rover) and ‘privacy glass’.
These interior features will soon be optional to all Land Rover Defender customers, as will a new aluminium finish to the vehicle’s side-runners.
On the safety front, Dynamic Stability Control and ABS will be fitted as standard on all UK and European-spec 90 and 110 Defender wagons from July this year, while ABS will be offered as an option on the 130 wagon for the first time.
Further down the track, Land Rover will add a new 'Yulong White' paint finish to the range from August next year.
Pricing for the Black Pack and Silver Pack in Europe will be announced later. Watch for Australian details to follow.
