Lamborghini has made a trademark application for the name 'Deimos' this week, suggesting that one of its two upcoming models will wear the god's name.

In Greek mythology, Deimos is described as the personification of terror, born from the union of Ares the God of War, and Aphrodite the Goddess of Love.

Uncovered by American magazine Car & Driver, the timing of the application could see a Deimos badge appear on Lamborghini's upcoming SUV, which is expected to debut in concept form at this month's Beijing Auto Show.

The Italian brand is also expected to unveil a replacement for the Gallardo in the coming year, and it could instead be this new supercoupe that will deliver terror into the hearts of Lamborghini's rivals.

If Deimos is on his way to The House of the Raging Bull in either SUV or supercar form, can we expect twin brother Phobos to follow as the other?
