Lamborghini Planning ‘Surprise’ Supercar For 2016 Anniversary

Lamborghini has big plans for 2016, as the Italian supercar maker celebrates the 100th anniversary of the birth of its founder: Ferruccio Lamborghini.

And how else would a carmaker celebrate such an important occasion than with a car, and you can bet it’ll be something extra special.

As to what that car will be, Lamborghini isn’t saying, but research and development boss Maurizio Reggiani told the UK’s Autocar that was can expect “a surprise” when the covers come off next year.

What we can assume with relative safety is that the anniversary model will have a limited production run - perhaps as low as a handful of examples – and the price will reportedly top €1.75 million (AU$2.75 million) in Europe.
