Lamborghini Murcielago And Mustang GT Drift Shootout

It’s nonsense, sure, but harnessing 20 bent-cylinders to produce the kind of flawless drifting we see in this video (bottom of page) takes a special kind of genius madness. And stupendous cojones.

Saddled up in the Ford is US drift master Vaughn Gittin Jr. – or ‘JR’ – driving his 2013 Ford Racing Mustang RTR. Beside him, two door handles away, is Japanese pro drifter Daigo Saito, a two-time drift major winner – D1 GP in 2008 and Formula D champion in 2012.

Saito is driving a specially-modified Murcielago that has the V12 driving the rear wheels only. Check out the ‘ballet’ towards the end, the amazing control of the two cars dancing around a floodlit circle in astonishing tight formation.

The location? Somewhere in Russia, apparently, an abandoned village complete with Coptic kirk, but prepare to be amazed (and don’t try this at home).

So kick back, turn up the volume, and share it with your co-workers...
