HURACAN AUSTRALIAN PRICE CONFIRMED
UPDATE: Australian timing now confirmed.
Lamborghini has confirmed its new Huracán supercar will land in Australia at $428,000 (plus on-roads), marking a significant cut to the price of entry into the Lamborghini brand.
Full local specifications are still to be confirmed, but Lamborghini says Australian buyers can expect that price to include magneto-rheological suspension, fully electric and heated seats, a navigation system and Bluetooth connectivity.
And, at $428,000, the Huracán will be more than $110,000 more affordable than an equivalent Gallardo with carbon ceramic brakes and the now superseded eGear auto transmission.
Confirmation of local Huracán pricing comes just days after the new entry Lambo's global reveal, which came on the heel of telling spy photos and show-all leaks.
The Huracán is powered by a 5.2 litre V10 engine, producing 448kW and 560Nm of torque. Lamborghini promises a 3.2 second run to 100km/h, hitting 200km/h in 9.9 seconds. Top speed is rated at 325km/h.
The Huracán will make its official world premiere at March's Geneva Motor Show. Delivery to the first customers is planned for the northern Spring of 2014.
Lamborghini's Australian arm has confirmed today that a small number of Huracan coupes will hit Australia from July or August next year. More details to come.
