Lamborghini wanted to surprise you this week, but who likes surprises anyway? Get a look at this: the Lamborghini Unica.
Revealed in these official images captured by Czech website Autoforum, the Unica is no ordinary Roadster, cutting a much lower profile than its regular Aventador progenitor.
The Unica's windscreen has been chopped right down, while the rear deck and engine hood are set closer to the ground than the coupe, making for an almost impossibly slippery look. Who knew the Aventador could get sleeker?
There's also a modified front end, with a toothy deer-slicing spoiler dominating the Unica's face.
Mechanically, the Unica is driven by the same 525kW 6.5 litre V12 mill that motivates the Aventador, and while the speedster will undoubtedly feature a number of reinforcements under the skin, Lambo has reportedly saved on weight by dropping most of the creature comforts.
Don't expect to see the Unica in your nearest Lamborghini showroom anytime soon, either. We'll save you looking it up: in Spanish, unica is the feminine form for unico, meaning unique, alone, solitary.
For now, this is a Geneva-special concept. Still, if the hugely popular Sesto Elemento is anything to go by, we'll see a limited run of Unica cars in the future, and a proper Aventador Roadster won't be far behind. (And its existence has already been revealed.)
