The KTM X-Bow has proven itself as a proper sports car, but its appeal was somewhat limited in the past to a ‘track-day only’ special - and therefore, an expensive toy.

Along with adding more power with the ‘R’ variant and later the RR, KTM stuck a wrap-around windscreen on its X-Bow GT to make it slightly more practical - but it could still be considered an expensive toy.

Now, what may seem the final piece in the X-Bow puzzle will soon be available to customers when KTM adds a roof with its new GT4 model.

This will give the X-Bow an added degree of practicality and allow it to compete with the Lotus range and even the likes of Mazda’s MX-5

Or at least it would - but the GT4’s birth is aimed purely at competing in the racing class of the same name for now, along with other similar motorsport categories.
