Kia is at it again - gathering inspiration from the X-Men to enhance another of its SUV models ahead of the Australian Open tennis tournament.
X-Men character Mystique was the inspiration for the new concept from the X-Men: Apocalypse film, which is due to hit cinema screens from May next year.
Kia says the Sportage X-Car “mimics the appearance and powers of the famous shape-shifter”, with the car itself possessing shape-shifting abilities.
So how does it shape-shift? Fans will have to wait until early next month to check out the video, staring tennis superstar and Kia ambassador, Rafael Nadal.
The Sportage X-Car concept will be officially unveiled at the 2016 Australian Open in Melbourne, where it will remain on show for the duration of the tournament.
The regular Sportage was unveiled in its all-new, second generation guise at the Frankfurt Motor Show earlier this year.
Buyers should see the new Sportage in Kia showrooms around Australia from around March next year.
