Kia's new-underneath and tweaked-up-top 2013 Sorento SUV is just weeks away from its Australian launch, but buyers seeking a good deal have a new limited-edition option to consider.
Available now, the Sorento Global Circuit Limited Edition is named in honour of Swede Christer Gerlach, who circumnavigated the globe in a previous-generation 2005 Sorento. A Global Circuit package was offered for that model, also.
This latest kit is available with the SLi Diesel, SLi Diesel with Navigation and Platinum Diesel with Navigation, and adds a host of off-roading features.
Tricks include side steps, an alloy nudge bar, towbar with wiring and tongue, cargo protector, carpet mat set, roof rails and crossbars, and - of course - a Global Circuit badge at the rear.
The Sorento remains otherwise unchanged, with power provided by Kia's 2.2 litre R-Series diesel, producing 145kW and 422Nm of torque. Fuel consumption is rated at 7.4 l/100km with the six-speed automatic.
Pricing
The Sorento Global Circuit edition is available now, priced at $47,190 for the SLi Diesel, $48,690 for the SLi Diesel with Navigation, and $51,180 for the Platinum Diesel with Navigation.
