Kia Australia has introduced a new extended warranty for fleet customers, just weeks after announcing a capped-price servicing program.

The new deal offers fleet buyers unlimited-kilometre cover over five years, making Kia the first carmaker in the Australian market to do so.

Available from September 1, the enhanced cover brings fleet and novated-lease customers onto the same level as private buyers, already enjoying Kia's unlimited-kilometre/five-year warranty.

“The availability of the five-year unlimited warranty will make owning a Kia even more attractive to the large segment of the market that goes down the fleet and leasing route," Kia Australia's Chief Operating Officer Tony Barlow said.

The new offer is made more appealing in that the usual two- to three-year turnover for fleet and novated-lease vehicles means resale values will benefit from significant time remaining on the warranty.

The new unlimited-km/five-year warranty is not available however to rental cars, taxis, hire cars, security patrol vehicles, bus operators, courier vehicles or driving school vehicles. Warranty conditions for these purchases remain unchanged.
