Jensen is back, with not one but two ‘new’ models set to officially revive the badge after a 13-year hiatus.

Under 'The Jensen Group' banner, the carmaker’s comeback model is called the GT, which it says has been styled to bring the Jensen name into the modern era.

The Jensen Group is headed by Tim Hearley, who once served as Aston Martin boss, and the new model will be built under a naming agreement between the Group and specialist tuners Jensen International Automotive (JIA).

While styling might remind owners of yesteryear, the GT is to be a more modern affair underneath and the tail-lights appear to have been borrowed from the thoroughly-modern Jaguar F-TYPE.

The chassis is to be largely of aluminium while carbon-fibre will be used elsewhere in the car’s construction for an estimated weight of 1530kg.
