Jaguar’s steady stream of information on its new XE midsized sedan continues, with the Big Cat detailing the all-new infotainment system.
Called ‘InControl’, the system features an eight-inch touchscreen and almost full integration with Apple or Android smartphones.
Owners of the new XE once it’s released will even be able to lock or unlock the Jag’s doors and start the engine using a smartphone from anywhere in the world, using ‘InControl Remote’.
The InControl theme continues with InControl Apps, allowing the user to transfer selected apps to the touchscreen for easier and safer use via voice commands while on the move.
This means apps currently restricted to a smartphone or tablet detailing traffic conditions, parking information or even weather updates will now be available to the driver on the car’s touchscreen.
Other features include an ability to set the XE’s climate control remotely using a mobile phone.
