Jaguar Land Rover Announces Recalls For Evoque, Range Rover Sport, and Range Rover

Jaguar Land Rover has announced two separate recalls encompassing all three of its Range Rover branded vehicles.

The first recall concerns the 2016 model year Range Rover Evoque, built between July and October 2015.

The engine wiring harness may be incorrectly routed, causing the wires to contact the exhaust gas recirculation housing. If the insulation wears through an electrical short could lead to the engine cutting out.

The solution involves fitting a new wiring harness bracket to prevent the wiring from contacting the engine.

The second recall involves Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles, built in June 2015.

The second row seat backrest latch may not latch into position properly, meaning that in the event of an accident, rear seat occupants may be insufficiently restrained.

Land Rover dealers will inspect the affected part, and replace with the correct component if required.

In both instances Land Rover will attempt to contact owners, however any owner wishing to know more about either of these recalls should contact their local Land Rover dealer.
