A new performance flagship for the Jaguar F-Type has been revealed ahead of its official debut thanks to brochure images of the F-Type SVR first published in the Netherlands.
The obvious changes include a restyled front bumper featuring massive intakes on each side, wider front guards with a heat-extracting vent, as well as lightweight forged alloy wheels, an optional carbon ceramic brake package, and a monster rear wing.
What can’t be seen, but will certainly be felt, is the tuned 5.0 litre supercharged V8, expected to provide 430kW of power and 700Nm of torque, building on the F-Type R’s already momentous 404kW and 680Nm.
All wheel drive will be standard, allowing the F-Type SVR Coupe to scramble from 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, slicing 0.4 seconds off the time sat by the AWD F-Type R Coupe.
Jaguar Land Rover’s SVO division is responsible for the design and development of the SVR, which will go on sale in Europe towards the middle of the year.
Both coupe and convertible body styles will be available, capped off with bespoke interior finishes.
While pricing is still unknown, expect the SRV to sit well above the $245,280 coupe and $260,980 convertible, with limited production numbers furthering the mad cat’s desirability.
