Just days after Jaguar confirmed a new supercharged V6 for its upcoming F-Type roadster, new reports out of the US suggest a V8 engine could headline the range.
With the super V6 under the bonnet, the F-Type will offer an inviting 280kW and 460Nm of torque. According to Inside Line however, Jaguar will also drop its 5.0 litre V8 engine into the new roadster.
Whether it will be the naturally-aspirated or supercharged version is unclear, but with the NA mill offering 283kW, the XKR-powering 375kW super V8 is the more likely option.
Whether the V8 would be paired in the F-Type with the existing ZF six-speed auto, the new eight-speed auto or a manual transmission is unclear.
