On both occasions, the F-Pace was wearing light camouflage but the new model is out in the open now with Jaguar releasing a single side-profile pic and a video (top of page).
A full unveiling is scheduled for later this month, at which time Jaguar will celebrate its 80th birthday.
Jaguar describes the F-Pace as a “five-seat performance crossover” which uses the carmaker’s lightweight aluminium architecture.
"2015 is Jaguar's 80th anniversary and it has been a monumental year of transformation for the brand,” Jaguar Land Rover’s Kevin Stride said.
“Today is a proud moment for Jaguar as we launch the F-Pace; our first performance crossover."
The F-Pace will be built at Jaguar’s facility in Solihull in the UK, and will go on sale worldwide in 2016. Pricing, specifications and timing for the Australian market are yet to be confirmed.
