Jaguar C-X75 Coming At Last? To The Silver Screen: Report Photo:

Jaguar’s mad C-X75 concept, a technological showcase once on the verge of a limited production run, may at last be on the way.

On the way to the big screen, that is, with British paper Autocar reporting this week that Jaguar’s one-off hypercar will feature in the coming film James Bond: Spectre.

Details of the film are still top-secret, but reports suggest the unique hybrid-powered cat will be driven by the film’s villain.

And fair enough, too. If Bond gets a special Aston Martin model built just for him, it’s no surprise that his antagonist should have a sweet ride of his own.

Of course, Jaguar’s appearance in the new Bond film would go well with its recent ‘Good to be Bad’ campaign, launched alongside the new F-Type range.

Sadly, it has also been reported that the C-X75 used in the film will be driven not by its magical hybrid powertrain, but rather Jaguar’s (still impressive) 5.0 litre supercharged V8 engine.

As a spectacle, though - and with the film studio’s editing crew dubbing their own sounds over the top - the on-screen Aston versus Jaguar battle should be a good one.
