Infiniti has confirmed its QX80 SUV is heading to Australia, with prices starting from $110,900 plus on-road costs.
As reported by TMR in early May, the QX80’s arrival means a rethink on the position of Nissan’s V8 Patrol 4WD in the local market
As such, the Japanese carmaker took the knife to Patrol pricing in a significant way at the start of July, cutting the price of the now entry-level Ti in the V8 range to $69,990 plus on-roads.
That left some breathing space for the QX80 price-wise, and its $110,990 starting price undercuts the Toyota LandCruiser-based Lexus LX 570’s $134,700 starting price by $23,800.
The QX80 is the new range-topper for Infiniti in Australia, sitting above the sportier and smaller QX70 SUV in the line-up.
