Reports of a new QX30-badged compact SUV for Nissan’s Infiniti luxury brand are in the spotlight this week, following the recent reveal of the new Lexus NX crossover.
The NX is the Lexus brand’s first entrant in the hugely popular compact SUV market, and we’ll see it in Australia later this year. Infiniti, however, offers only the large FX here.
Speaking with industry paper Automotive News at the Beijing Auto Show, Nissan VP Andy Palmer confirmed that a new small SUV is under consideration for Infiniti.
"Is there room for a QX30? Most definitely,” Palmer told the paper.
