But while the company has stayed quiet on the concept’s technical details, Infiniti has now revealed - courtesy of a teaser video - that the Eau Rouge will tear into Geneva with a turbocharged engine.
Details for that powerplant have not been revealed, although last month’s debut saw Infiniti boss Johan de Nysschen boast of numbers upwards of 370kW and 810Nm.
To help us guess at what we’ll find under the bonnet, Infiniti has also released a teaser video that offers a listen to the new engine’s song - and a clear turbo whistle.
In its regular form, the Q50 is offered with a 157kW 2.5 litre four-cylinder engine from Mercedes-Benz, along with a 245kW 3.7 litre V6 and a 270kW 3.5 litre V6 petrol-electric hybrid powertrain.
So what could this new turbo mill be? Your guess is as good as ours, but judging by that soundtrack, we’re thinking six cylinders. New GT-R mill..?
