INFINITI: SYDNEY MOTOR SHOW 2012

Infiniti's G37 Coupe and Convertible pair have made their debut at the Australian International Motor Show, ahead of their December sales launch.

Both are powered by a 3.7 litre VVEL V6 with 235kW and 360Nm of torque, mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission and drive the rear wheels.

The transmission features a Drive Sport mode, along with the downshift rev-matching system found in the 370Z.

The Coupe will be available with four wheel active steer, which monitors road speed and steering input, adjusting the gearing of the front wheel's steering and the rear suspension's geometry.

The convertible is of the folding hardtop variety and a practised eye will be required to tell the two versions apart with the roof up. The roof can be raised or lowered in just 25 seconds.

Pricing and detailed specifications will be available closer to the December 2012 release date.

When the G models make their Australian debut, they'll join the recently launched M sedan and FX SUV.
