Fans of British designer Ian Callum are in for a treat thanks to a new video from his current employer: Jaguar.

Callum shares his story in the clip, from his time at Ford in the 70s and 80s to his eventual appointment as Jaguar’s Director Of Design.

The designer penned parts for Escorts, Fiestas and Mondeo models among others, and even had a stint as Design Manager for Ghia.

From Ford, Callum moved to Tom Walkinshaw Racing (TWR) and had a hand in designing cars from Nissan, Volvo, Mazda and Australia’s own Holden Special Vehicles (HSV).

It’s not all good memories for Callum, who puts the boot into the British carmaking industry and those who sabotaged it during the 1970s.

But in 1999, Callum’s journey with Jaguar began while the carmaker was owned by Ford and some of his efforts since then have earned the designer a league of fans.

Such efforts include the C-X75 and C-X16 concepts, along with the XJ, F-Type and new F-Pace SUV.
