In case you haven’t noticed, Hyundai has an American theme going with the names for its SUV models – think Santa Fe and Tucson (as in Santa Fe, New Mexico and Tucson, Arizona).
According to the well-informed Hyundai-Blog this theme will continue with the Korean giant’s all-new compact SUV set to be called the Kona (a location on the Big Island of Hawaii noted for its coffee production and also the name of the afternoon seabreeze – the Kona Wind).

Currently Hyundai’s all-new compact SUV operates with its internal company model code which is ‘OS’.
Launch in Korea is scheduled for June with international markets following.
