Hyundai will throw the spotlight on its fledgling N performance sub-brand at next month's Frankfurt Motor Show with three high-performance Hyundais confirmed to appear.
Alongside the mid-engined, Veloster-based RM15 concept car that was first unveiled in April this year, Hyundai will also display the ‘Hyundai N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo’.
Designed as a playable car for the Grand Turismo 6 video game, the N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo is a virtual concept that Hyundai says represents "the future potential of Hyundai N".
Further details will be released once the virutal race car makes its debut.
Lastly, Hyundai will display its 2016 i20 WRC challenger at Frankfurt, which will make its competition debut at the 2016 Rallye Monte Carlo and is based on the second-generation i20 hatch (which will not be sold in Australia due to sourcing difficulties).
Looking further afield, Hyundai is gearing up to launch its first-ever N production car, which is tipped to be a high-output AWD version of the i30 hatch and may make a surprise appearance at Frankfurt.
More N tuned cars will likely follow, with an i20-based performer and even a sporty SUV potentially on the cards. Do not, however, expect a standalone sports car to replace the Genesis Coupe - Hyundai is reportedly reluctant to go back down that path.
