Hyundai's all-new 2013 i30 hatch will hit Australian showrooms in the coming months, but its top-selling predecessor has some legs on it yet.
This week, the Korean carmaker's local arm has announced the return of the limited-edition i30 Trophy variant, following its 3700-sales run back in 2010.
As before, the 2012 i30 Trophy is based on the 2.0 litre petrol i30 SX hatch, adding a handful of exterior and interior tweaks.
On the outside, the Trophy picks up 16-inch alloy wheels and a matching full-size spare, along with a rear spoiler. The front bumper gets recessed fog lamps, and 'Trophy' badging rounds out the exterior tweaks.
On the inside, cruise control is fitted as standard for the Trophy, along with a leather-wrapped steering wheel and matching gear knob.
Standard features for the SX-based i30 and i30cw wagon Trophy limited editions includes air-conditioning with pollen filter, remote keyless entry with alarm, power windows and mirrors, along with full AUX, USB and iPod connectivity, and a chilled glove box.
The 2.0 litre petrol engine powering the i30 Trophy (based on the 2.0 litre SX variant) produces 105kW and 186Nm of torque.
The Hyundai i30 carries a 5-Star ANCAP crash safety rating.
