Hyundai employees have had another chance to show us what the car of the future might look like, through a host of concepts unveiled in Korea.
As part of the annual ‘R&D IDEA’ Festival, employees from Hyundai and sister company Kia are given a chance to design and build something more from the imagination than a design brief.
This year’s theme was “making a better future”, and it produced everything from a rolling step ladder to a ride-on carpet sweeping and ‘pea pod’ cars.
Ten concepts were on display at the Festival, which was held at Hyundai’s Namyang Technology Research Centre.
Four of those concepts were declared winners, including the Carry U electric scooter / luggage ‘system’, designed to travel short distances in tight spaces.
