Hot Peugeot 208 R Confirmed: Report

Peugeot looks to be preparing an even hotter entrant in the sizzling performance corner of the light-hatch market, with reports today that a special 208 R model is on the way. 

Talk of the new R model comes from US industry paper Automotive News, which claims that Peugeot boss Maxime Picat has confirmed the new flagship. 

"Above the 208 GTI, we will soon have an even sportier 208 R," Picat told the paper in an interview this week.
