Honda has revealed details of its Tokyo Autosalon stand ahead of next month's opening day, including a fan-favourite addition: the now retired S2000 roadster.

Dressed in a fresh styling kit from the company's Modulo catalogue, the 2009 S2000 gets brand-new bumpers at both ends, including LED running lights at the front.

The 'concept', dubbed S2000 Modulo Climax, also gets a lightly-customised interior, including new seat trim.

We shouldn't expect to see a run of new S2000 models, but it is likely that the Modulo parts will be offered - at least in Japan - as a new aftermarket option for existing owners.

With a new-generation convertible also confirmed for Honda's future, the made-over S2000 should also whet the appetite for what's to come.

A Mugen-enhanced version of Honda's new CR-V SUV is also scheduled for the show, along with another new enhanced take on the company's CR-Z hybrid sports hatch.

Honda will also show off a new racing concept based on its N-One city car, along with a new Modulo styling kit.

The fan-favourite HSV-010 GT racer will also be shown, along with a Honda's Isle Of Man TT two-wheeled racer, the electric Shinden bike.
