Honda S2000 Could Return With Hard Hat, Turbo Heart: Report

Honda’s beloved S2000 could be set for a comeback - but new reports suggest it won’t follow the naturally-aspirated roadster formula of the model retired in 2009.

Talk of a new open-top sports car for Honda most recently surfaced in late 2012, when head honcho Takanobu Ito confirmed plans for a new roadster model.

That car has since surfaced as the lightweight and lightly powered S660 that will debut next year, but now Britain’s Auto Express claims that the S2000 badge will return… on a coupe.
