Honda’s New Turbo Petrol Engines, DCT; Civic Type R Revealed Further

NEW HONDA TURBO ENGINES

Honda will soon launch a trio of new turbocharged VTEC petrol engines, in the form of 1.0 three-cylinder and 1.5 litre four-cylinder engines, along with the new Civic Type R's 2.0 litre four-cylinder turbo mill. 

Honda has previously confirmed the the new Civic Type R's engine will offer "in excess" of 206kW, but full technical details for the smaller engines are still to be confirmed. 

All three engines will benefit from direct injection however, and will join Honda's 1.6 litre diesel engine at the small end of its new Earth Dreams engine range.
