Honda has revealed a new sedan concept at this week's Beijing Auto Show, dubbed simply "C".

Honday says the C represents the words "cool" and "challenge," but it also represents China, where the production version of this new concept is scheduled to debut in 2013.

For now, China is the only market confirmed to see the new sedan, and its design and development was handled almost entirely by Guangqi Honda Automobile Co.

The C's designers point to China's legendary dragon mythology as the inspiration for its styling, which features a crest-like grille treatment that reaches up into the headlights, and a tall front bumper with large side intakes.

The profile sees a split character line flowing up over the rear wheel arches, terminating at a tail-light design that reaches across the tailgate, above a pair of diamond-shaped exhaust tips.

Technical details for the new car have not been revealed, and it remains unclear if a Western-market version of the production car is on the cards.

Could we be looking at a preview of the new Legend flagship?

Only time will tell, although it is more likely that the recently-revealed Acura RLX is a closer look at the new Legend.

Instead, the C concept could offer a first glimpse at the next Accord Euro sedan. With the current model in production since 2008, an update will not be far away.
