Holden has applied the rugged Z71 off-road styling package from the Colorado ute to its Trailblazer seven-seat SUV.
Just like the Colorado, the Trailblazer receives black-out bonnet decals, Z71 embroidered head rests, Z71 floor mats, black mirrors, door handle and door mouldings, plus extra touches like gloss black B-pillar trims and black belt mouldings.
Underneath the Z71 styling additions is the same equipment as found in the range-topping Trailblazer LTZ which includes leather seat trim, climate control, power adjustable driver’s seat, and 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
Power comes from a 2.8-litre four-cylinder diesel engine producing 147kW of power and 500Nm of torque, backed by a six-speed automatic with selectable low-range 4x4.
Because of the black styling elements, the Trailblazer Z71 is only available in four colours; solid Summit White and Absolute Red or metallic Satin Steel Grey and Mineral Black, available for an extra $550.
Right now the Trailblazer is a limited edition of just 400 examples but Holden may may add the Z71 package as a permanent fixture if it proves a success.
Pricing for the Z71 adds a $1000 premium over the Trailblazer LTZ, starting at $53,490 plus on-road costs.
