A possible production version of Gumpert’s Tornante By Touring concept has been previewed this week, courtesy of trademark renderings filed by the German supercar manufacturer.

Gumpert recommenced trading just one month ago, after filing for insolvency in August.

Production of the existing Apollo supercar is again underway, and these renderings suggest the company is progressing with its earlier future model plans.

The renderings, obtained by WorldCarFans, suggest several styling revisions over the 2011 Geneva Gumpert Tornante By Touring concept, including a new louvred rear window design and redesigned taillights and exhaust outlets.

At the front, the Tornante’s headlights have been subtly tweaked along with the fascia design.

These renderings detail the model’s appearance only, so there’s no confirmation at this stage whether the production version will use the concept’s Apollo-derived 522kW/899Nm twin-turbocharged 4.2 litre V8 and TT40e six-speed paddle shift transmission.

Likewise, there’s no mention of the earlier plans for an alternative power source version, nor an update on Gumpert’s initial plans for a 2012 launch.
