German supercarmaker Gumpert has released a single teaser image for an all-new model that it will reveal at March's Geneva Motor Show.

The company has not offered any details on the new model, but a replacement for the ageing Apollo supercar could be on the cards.

The 2012 show could also play host to a new version of the Gumpert Tornante By Touring, a rebodied and tweaked version of the Apollo that utilised the same Audi-sourced 4.2 litre V8 engine.

Gumpert isn't the best known supercar badge, but its work speaks for itself: the Tornante delivers 522kW and 899Nm of torque, with a 0-100km/h time of just 3.0 seconds.

With numbers like that, Gumpert's stand at the Geneva show will be one worth watching.
