The Geely MK, which entered the Australian market in 2011 at $11,990 drive-away, is now positioned at $8999 drive-away.

Since its local debut, the MK has been offered exclusively in Western Australia - the only market where the light sedan’s lack of electronic stability control does not preclude it from sale.

(All new models in Western Australia must now also be equipped with ESC, however this only applies to vehicles introduced after November 2013.)

MK buyers won’t be driving away in a new-generation car, however: the new drive-away price applies to 2011 model-year cars built in 2013.

Those 2011 model-year features include 15-inch alloy wheels, manual air conditioning, power steering, power windows, remote central locking, USB/aux audio input and a 60/40 split-folding second row.
