Toyota partner Gazoo Racing looks set to unveil another 86 coupe-based concept at next week's Tokyo Auto Salon, a year since the reveal of its GRMN Sports FR Concept Platinum.
For now, the company has revealed little about its new show car, within even the identity of the concept's donor body a secret.
However, a new teaser image released today points to the 86, with the window frame and the roof's aero line clearly belonging to the popular coupe.
While the team is offering little else in the way of hints, it has release a new video of its Sports FR Platinum concept, shown drifting around a track against a wintery background.
The Sports FR Platinum concept utilises both turbo- and super-charging to produce a hefty 243kW and 431Nm, bettering the 235kW/421Nm of the previous Sports FR concept.
Stay tuned to TMR for the new Gazoo concept's unveiling in Tokyo.
