Toyota and racing partner Gazoo have revealed their new GRMN Sports FR Concept Platinum coupe (fellas, really, could you have given it a longer name? - Ed) at this week's Tokyo Auto Salon.
Based on the still box-fresh 86 coupe, the Platinum arrives on the heels of last May's Sports FR concept, packing yet more power and a more outlandish look.
On the styling front, Gazoo has blessed the 86 with new front and rear styling, including unique new headlights and tail-lights.
Combined with new bumpers, widened guards and side ports, the package gives the 86 something of a 'mini Supra' look.
There's also a vented bonnet at the front and a diffuser at the back end, the latter flanked by large exhaust tips and topped off by a sizeable racing wing.
The whole package rides on 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 245/40 rubber at the front, growing to 265/35 at the rear wheels. Inside is a full cage, racing seats and a track-focused steering wheel. And all the rest.
Perhaps the real party trick however is what lies under the bonnet: an even more powerful version of the enhanced boxer engine revealed in the Sports FR.
